I just finished playing Rescue The Princess and I've got to say, it was a bit of a mixed bag for me. The game's premise is pretty straightforward - you play as a brave knight who's trying to rescue a princess from an evil dragon. It's a classic tale that's been done to death, but I was hoping that the gameplay would be engaging enough to keep me interested. Unfortunately, the execution fell a bit flat for me.

The gameplay in Rescue The Princess is pretty standard platformer fare. You run, you jump, you fight enemies - it's all stuff we've seen before. The problem is that the controls can be a bit slippery at times, and the level design is often frustratingly frustrating. I found myself dying more often than not due to the fact that the platforms are just a bit too small, or the enemies are just a bit too tough. It's not like the game is impossible or anything, but it's definitely not as smooth as some of the other platformers out there.

One thing that did stand out to me, though, was the game's visuals. The graphics are actually pretty nice, with some lovely pixel art and animations. Despite the game's flaws, I did find myself having a bit of fun with Rescue The Princess. The game's not overly long, so it's a good choice if you're looking for something to play through in a weekend or something. And like I said, the visuals and soundtrack are definitely worth checking out. I just wish that the gameplay was a bit more polished, you know? Maybe with a bit more attention to level design and control tightening, this game could have been something really special.

As it stands, though, I'd say that Rescue The Princess is an average game at best. It's not bad by any means, but it's not particularly memorable either. If you're a huge fan of platformers, you might find some enjoyment here, but otherwise, you might want to look elsewhere. I'd say it's worth checking out if you can get it on sale or something, but at full price, it's a bit of a tough sell.

Overall, I'm a bit disappointed by Rescue The Princess. I was hoping for something a bit more exciting, but what I got was a fairly generic platformer with some nice visuals and a catchy soundtrack. It's not a bad game, but it's not particularly good either. If you're looking for something to play, you might want to check out some of the other options out there - but if you're a fan of the genre, you might find some enjoyment here.
