I've gotta say, I was pretty hyped to dive into VR Poker, I mean who doesn't love the idea of playing some high stakes poker in a virtual reality environment. The concept is awesome, you get to sit down at a table with other players, read their tells, and try to bluff your way to the top. I've played my fair share of poker games on my PC and console, but I was excited to see how the VR experience would stack up.

First impressions were pretty good, the graphics are solid and the overall atmosphere of the game is great. You feel like you're really sitting down at a table in a casino, the sounds, the sights, it's all pretty immersive. The controls are also pretty intuitive, you use the VR controllers to make your bets and actions, it feels pretty natural. However, I did notice that the physics can be a bit wonky at times, I've had chips and cards clip through the table or my hands, it's not a huge deal but it can be a bit distracting.

Gameplay wise, VR Poker is a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, the AI opponents are pretty tough and will keep you on your toes, I've had some epic battles at the table and it's definitely satisfying to take down a big pot. On the other hand, the game can feel a bit slow paced at times, especially when you're waiting for other players to make their moves. I've also noticed that the game can be a bit repetitive, you'll often find yourself playing the same hands over and over again, it's not a huge problem but it can get a bit grindy.

One thing that I think VR Poker really nails is the social aspect. You can play with other players online and it's a totally different experience, you get to interact with other people, chat with them, and even try to read their tells. It's a really cool feature and it adds a whole new level of depth to the game. However, I have noticed that the online community can be a bit toxic at times, I've had some pretty salty opponents who get upset when they lose, but I guess that's just part of the poker experience.

Overall, I'd say that VR Poker is a solid game, it's not perfect but it's definitely a lot of fun. If you're a fan of poker or just looking for a new VR experience, I'd definitely recommend checking it out. Just be aware that it can be a bit slow paced at times and the physics can be a bit wonky, but overall it's a great way to spend an evening. I'm excited to see how the game develops in the future, maybe we'll see some new features or game modes, but for now I'm happy to keep on playing.

If you're on the fence about whether or not to buy VR Poker, I'd say go for it, it's definitely worth the cost. Just make sure you've got a good VR setup and you're ready to dive in, it's an experience you won't want to miss.
