I just spent the last few hours playing Sniper Pixel Shooting, and I have to say, it's been a pretty mixed bag for me. On the one hand, I love the idea of a pixel art sniper game - it's a unique twist on the genre, and the graphics are definitely charming. The pixelated aesthetic gives the game a retro feel that's hard to resist, and I found myself getting drawn into the simple, yet effective, visuals.
But, on the other hand, the gameplay itself is a bit of a letdown. Don't get me wrong, the sniping mechanics are solid, and I enjoyed the feeling of lining up a shot and taking out an enemy from a distance. However, the levels are pretty short and feel more like glorified shooting galleries than actual missions. You're basically just spawned into a map, and then you've got to take out a certain number of enemies before you can move on to the next level. It gets repetitive pretty quickly, and I found myself wishing for a bit more variety in the level design.
One thing that did impress me was the sound design. The sound effects in Sniper Pixel Shooting are actually really well done, and the gunplay sounds particularly satisfying. The music is also catchy, although it can get a bit annoying after a while. I ended up turning it off and playing with my own music, which was a bit more enjoyable. But overall, the audio in the game is definitely one of its stronger points.
As for the difficulty, I'd say it's pretty moderate. The game starts off easy, but as you progress through the levels, it gets progressively harder. The enemies get tougher, and the levels get more complex, which is nice. However, I did encounter a few times where I felt like the difficulty spiked a bit too much, and I had to retry a level multiple times before I could beat it. It's not a huge deal, but it did get frustrating at times.
I think my biggest problem with Sniper Pixel Shooting is that it feels like a game that's still in development. There are a few bugs here and there, and the overall polish of the game could be improved. For example, the menus are a bit clunky, and the UI could be more intuitive. It's not a huge deal, but it does take away from the overall experience. Despite its flaws, though, I did have some fun playing Sniper Pixel Shooting, and I think it's worth checking out if you're a fan of sniper games or pixel art.
Overall, I'd say Sniper Pixel Shooting is a decent, if not amazing, game. It's got some unique ideas, and the pixel art style is definitely a plus. However, the gameplay is a bit too repetitive, and the level design could be more varied. With a bit more development and polish, I think this game could be really something special.
