Rainbow Friends Survival FPS Review & Gameplay Guide
I just spent the last few days playing Rainbow Friends Survival FPS and I have to say, it's been a wild ride. I went into this game not knowing what to expect, I'd seen some videos online and it looked like a pretty standard FPS, but with a weird twist - the enemies are all these creepy rainbow colored guys that seem to be inspired by some kind of kids tv show or something. At first I thought it was gonna be one of those games that's trying too hard to be edgy or different, but the more I played, the more I realized that it's actually pretty fun.
The gameplay is solid, it's your standard run and gun FPS fare, but the levels are all really colorful and weird, which is a nice change of pace from the usual grey and brown environments you see in most FPS games. The rainbow guys are actually pretty creepy, they're all like, happy and friendly looking, but they're trying to kill you, which is just messed up. They're also pretty relentless, they just keep coming at you in waves, so you've got to stay on your toes if you want to survive.
One thing that kinda bothered me was the lack of a real story. I mean, I know it's not always necessary to have a deep, intricate narrative in an FPS game, but it would've been nice to have some idea of why these rainbow guys are trying to kill me. Are they aliens or something? Did I accidentally stumble into some kind of weird cult? I have no idea, and it's a little frustrating. But at the same time, the game is just so much fun to play that I didn't really care that much. I just kept playing and trying to survive.
The graphics are also pretty nice, the colors are all really vibrant and the levels are all really detailed. I played on a lower end PC and it still looked great, so I can only imagine how good it would look on a higher end rig. The sound design is also really good, the music is all this weird, catchy electronic stuff that gets stuck in your head, and the sound effects are all really satisfying. When you shoot the rainbow guys, they make this weird, squeaky noise that's just really satisfying to hear.
I did encounter some bugs and glitches while I was playing, which was a little frustrating. Sometimes the game would freeze up or I'd get stuck in a wall or something, but it wasn't too often. I'm hoping the devs will patch those issues out soon, because aside from that, the game is really solid. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking for a fun, lighthearted FPS game that's a little different from the usual military shooters.
Overall, I'd say Rainbow Friends Survival FPS is a really fun, if slightly flawed, game. It's not perfect, but it's definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of FPS games or just looking for something a little different. The creepy rainbow guys, the colorful environments, and the satisfying gameplay all come together to make a game that's just a lot of fun to play. And who knows, maybe someday we'll get a sequel that explains what's going on with these weird, murderous rainbow creatures.
