Planet Hero Review & Gameplay Guide
I just spent the last 20 hours playing Planet Hero and I have to say, it's been a wild ride. I mean, I've seen some mixed reviews online, but I was curious to check it out for myself. The game's premise is pretty cool - you play as a hero who's trying to save the world from an alien invasion. It sounds basic, but trust me, it's a lot more complex than that. The gameplay is a mix of action, RPG, and strategy elements, which I thought was really interesting.
At first, I was a bit turned off by the graphics. I mean, they're not bad, but they're not exactly mind-blowing either. The character models and environments look a bit dated, and there are some noticeable glitches here and there. But, as I kept playing, I started to notice that the game's art style has a certain charm to it. It's like a retro-futuristic thing that grows on you. And, to be honest, the gameplay is so engaging that I didn't even care about the graphics after a while.
The combat system is probably my favorite part of the game. It's a lot of fun to switch between different abilities and powers, and the enemies are actually pretty challenging. I love how you can customize your character and unlock new skills as you level up. It's really satisfying to take down a tough boss or clear out a room full of aliens. The game also has a pretty cool upgrade system, where you can modify your gear and equipment to suit your playstyle. I spent way too much time tweaking my character's build, but it was worth it.
One thing that did get on my nerves was the story. I mean, it's not bad, but it's just so... generic. You've got your typical "chosen one" hero, and the alien invasion is just a excuse for a bunch of action set pieces. I didn't really care about any of the characters, and the dialogue is pretty cheesy. But, to be fair, I wasn't really playing the game for the story. I was playing it for the gameplay, and in that regard, Planet Hero delivers. The game's also got a pretty active multiplayer community, which is a bonus. I had a blast playing co-op with my friends, and it added a whole new layer of replayability to the game.
I think my biggest complaint about Planet Hero is the lack of polish. There are some pretty annoying bugs and glitches, and the game can be a bit frustrating at times. But, despite all that, I still had a really good time playing it. The game's just so much fun, and it's clear that the developers are passionate about what they're doing. I'd love to see a sequel or some DLC that addresses some of the game's issues, because I think Planet Hero has a lot of potential. As it stands, I'd recommend it to fans of action RPGs and sci-fi games. Just be prepared for some rough edges.
Overall, I'm glad I gave Planet Hero a chance. It's not perfect, but it's a really enjoyable game that's worth checking out. If you're looking for a fun, action-packed experience with a lot of depth and customization, then Planet Hero might be the game for you. Just don't expect a masterpiece, and you'll be fine. I'm definitely going to keep an eye on the game's developers, because I think they've got some great ideas and a lot of potential. And who knows, maybe we'll see a Planet Hero 2 in the future that addresses all the issues and takes the game to the next level.
