NEXRUN Review & Gameplay Guide

I just spent the last week playing NEXRUN and I have to say, it's been a wild ride. I went into this game not knowing what to expect, I'd seen some trailers and gameplay videos, but I wasn't really sure what the gameplay would be like. The first thing that struck me was how fast paced the game is, you're constantly on the move, dodging bullets and obstacles, it's like a high intensity workout for your reflexes. The graphics are also pretty slick, the neon lit levels and futuristic soundtrack really immerse you in the world of NEXRUN.

As I played through the game, I started to notice that the level design is really well done. The levels are challenging, but not frustratingly so, and there's a good balance between combat and platforming sections. The controls are also really tight, which is essential for a game like this where you need to be able to react quickly to avoid taking damage. One thing that did take some getting used to was the wall jumping mechanic, it's a bit different to what I'm used to in other platformers, but once I got the hang of it, it became second nature.

One of the things that really drew me into NEXRUN was the story. I wasn't expecting much, but the narrative is actually really engaging. Without giving too much away, you play as a character who's trying to escape a corrupt corporation, and as you progress through the game, you uncover more and more about the world and the characters in it. The story is well paced and the characters are all pretty well developed, it's not just a shallow plot to string the levels together. The voice acting is also top notch, the cast does a great job of bringing the characters to life.

As I got further into the game, I started to notice that the difficulty level ramps up pretty quickly. The enemies get tougher, the levels get more complex, and you need to be on your toes at all times to avoid taking damage. It's not an easy game, but it's not unfairly hard either, it's just challenging in a good way. I found myself dying a lot, but I never felt like it was the game's fault, it was always my own mistake that led to my demise. The game also has a good system for upgrading your character, you can unlock new abilities and upgrades as you progress, which helps to give you an edge in the tougher levels.

My only real criticism of NEXRUN is that it's a bit on the short side. I completed the game in around 6-8 hours, which isn't a lot of time, especially considering the price point. However, the game does have a pretty extensive leaderboard system, which adds a lot of replay value. You can compete with other players to get the fastest times and highest scores, which is a lot of fun. I've already found myself going back to try and beat my previous times, and I can see myself playing this game for a long time to come.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend NEXRUN to fans of action platformers. It's a great game that's a lot of fun to play, with a engaging story, tight controls, and challenging gameplay. While it may be a bit on the short side, the replay value is high, and I'm sure I'll be playing this game for a long time to come. If you're looking for a game that will test your reflexes and keep you on the edge of your seat, then NEXRUN is definitely worth checking out.
