Mario 3D Shooter Review & Gameplay Guide
I just finished playing Mario 3D Shooter and I have to say it's been a wild ride. I mean, who doesn't love running around as Mario, shooting bad guys and collecting coins? It's a pretty simple concept, but it works. The gameplay is pretty straightforward - you've got your standard Mario abilities like jumping and power-ups, but now you've also got a variety of guns at your disposal. It's not exactly what I'd call a traditional Mario game, but it's definitely a fun twist on the classic formula.
One thing that really stood out to me was the level design. The levels are all pretty big and open, which is great for exploring and finding all the hidden secrets and power-ups. But at the same time, they can also feel a bit empty and repetitive. I found myself running around the same old landscapes, fighting the same old enemies, and it started to get a bit dull after a while. I think the game could have benefited from a bit more variety in the level design, maybe some more unique and interesting environments to explore.
The graphics and sound design are also worth mentioning. The game looks great, with bright and colorful visuals that really bring the Mario world to life. The sound effects and music are also top-notch, with all the classic Mario sound effects and a catchy soundtrack that had me humming along. But, I did notice that the frame rate can get a bit choppy at times, especially when there's a lot of action on the screen. It's not a major issue, but it's definitely noticeable.
Now, I know some people might be thinking, "Mario with guns? Has the world gone crazy?" And I get it, it's not exactly what you'd expect from a Mario game. But, I think it actually works pretty well. The guns are all pretty fun to use, and the game does a good job of balancing the shooting mechanics with the traditional Mario platforming. It's not a perfect game, but it's definitely a unique and enjoyable take on the series. And, let's be real, who doesn't love the idea of Mario running around with a shotgun, blasting Goombas to kingdom come?
One thing that did disappoint me was the lack of multiplayer. I mean, can you imagine playing a Mario game with your friends, running around and shooting each other? It would be a blast. But, unfortunately, that's not an option in Mario 3D Shooter. The game is strictly single-player, which is a bit of a bummer. I think the game could have really benefited from some sort of multiplayer mode, even if it was just a simple deathmatch or co-op mode.
Overall, I'd say Mario 3D Shooter is a solid game that's definitely worth checking out. It's not perfect, but it's a fun and unique take on the Mario series, and the gameplay is definitely enjoyable. If you're a fan of Mario or just looking for something a bit different, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Just don't expect too much in the way of multiplayer, and you'll be golden.
