Craft Number Review & Gameplay Guide

I just spent the last few days playing Craft Number and I have to say, it's been a bit of a mixed bag for me. On the one hand, I love the idea behind the game - it's all about building and exploring, which is right up my alley. But on the other hand, the execution is a bit lacking in some areas. The gameplay is pretty straightforward, you gather resources, craft new items and build structures, it's all pretty standard fare for this type of game. But the thing that really drew me in was the game's unique art style, it's got this really cool retro vibe that I just can't get enough of.

One of the things that I was really looking forward to when I started playing Craft Number was the exploration aspect. I love games where you can just wander around and discover new things, and Craft Number definitely delivers on that front. The world is huge and there's always something new to find, whether it's a hidden cave or a strange new creature. But what really impressed me was the game's day and night cycles, it's amazing how much of a difference it makes to the overall atmosphere of the game. The day time is all bright and cheerful, while the night time is dark and spooky, it's really well done.

But despite all the things that Craft Number does well, there are also some areas where it falls a bit short. For one thing, the combat system is pretty clunky, it's not very intuitive and it can be really frustrating to fight off some of the tougher enemies. And another thing that really bothers me is the lack of a tutorial, I mean, I'm all for figuring things out for myself, but it would be nice to have some guidance, especially for new players. I spent hours trying to figure out how to craft certain items, it was really confusing.

Another issue I have with Craft Number is the graphics, while the art style is really cool, the actual graphics themselves are a bit dated. The textures are pretty low res and the character models are a bit blocky, it's not a huge deal, but it would be nice to see some higher quality graphics. And the sound design is also a bit lacking, the music is pretty forgettable and the sound effects are a bit too repetitive. But despite all these issues, I still found myself having a lot of fun playing Craft Number, it's just one of those games that's easy to get sucked into.

As I kept playing Craft Number, I started to notice some other issues, like the game's UI, it's pretty cluttered and it can be hard to find what you're looking for. And the inventory system is also a bit wonky, it's hard to manage your items and it's easy to accidentally drop something important. But despite all these issues, I still think that Craft Number is worth checking out, especially if you're a fan of building and exploration games. It's just one of those games that's easy to get lost in, and before you know it, hours have passed and you're still building and exploring.

Overall, I would say that Craft Number is a bit of a flawed gem, it's got a lot of great ideas and it's really fun to play, but it's also got some issues that need to be ironed out. If the developers can address some of the problems I mentioned, like the combat system and the graphics, I think Craft Number could be a really great game. As it stands, it's still worth checking out, but it's not perfect, and if you're looking for a more polished experience, you might want to look elsewhere.
