Apex Rush Review & Gameplay Guide

I just spent the last weekend playing Apex Rush and I have to say, it's been a wild ride. I mean, I've been a fan of battle royale games for a while now, and Apex Rush definitely brings something new to the table. The game takes place in a dystopian future where you're dropped onto a map with up to 49 other players, all fighting for survival. The twist is that each character has these insane abilities that can totally turn the tide of battle. I played as this one character, Nova, who can create these massive explosions that can take out an entire team if you time it just right.

At first, I was a bit skeptical about the abilities thing, I mean, it sounds like it could get pretty overpowered. But the more I played, the more I realized that it's actually really well balanced. I mean, sure, some characters are definitely more powerful than others, but it's not like it's impossible to take them down. You just have to be strategic and use your own abilities to outmaneuver them. And the best part is, the abilities are all really unique and fun to use. I had a blast playing as Nova, but I also had a lot of fun playing as this other character, Zephyr, who can create these massive gusts of wind that can knock people off their feet.

One thing that really impressed me about Apex Rush is the map. It's huge, and I mean, seriously huge. I spent hours exploring and I still didn't see everything. And the best part is, the map is all destructible, so you can blow holes in buildings and create your own paths. It's really cool, and it adds a whole new level of strategy to the game. I found myself using my abilities to create new routes and escape from enemy teams. The graphics are also top-notch, I mean, the game looks amazing. The character models, the environments, everything is just really well done.

But, as much as I loved playing Apex Rush, there are definitely some things that need to be worked on. For one, the matchmaking can be a bit sketchy at times. I had a few games where I was matched up against teams that were way more experienced than me, and it was just a total slaughter. I mean, I'm not asking for easy wins or anything, but it would be nice if the matchmaking was a bit more even. Also, the game can be a bit buggy at times, I had a few instances where my character would get stuck in walls or the game would just freeze up on me. It's not a huge deal, but it's definitely something that the devs need to work on.

Despite the few issues I had with Apex Rush, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who's a fan of battle royale games. It's a lot of fun, and the unique abilities and massive map really set it apart from other games in the genre. And, the best part is, the game is still pretty new, so I'm sure the devs will be working on ironing out the bugs and making the game even better. I'm definitely going to keep playing, and I'm excited to see where the game goes from here.

Overall, I'd give Apex Rush a solid 8 out of 10. It's a great game that's a lot of fun to play, and it's definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of battle royale games. Just be prepared for a few bugs and some potentially sketchy matchmaking, and you'll be good to go. I'm looking forward to seeing where the game goes from here, and I'm excited to jump back in and start playing again.
